Our Tree of Love 2015




Since our Tree is up all year long we decided to ca it our 
"Tree of Love". Also, Since Byron bought the tree Christmas before he passed away and the lights on the tree come on with no one in the room. We figure it is him turning on the lights letting us know he is visiting. This has happened since he left his body and joined the spirit world. 

We have decorated the tree with Angels, Butterflies, Bells and the word Joy. 

Love our Beautiful Tree and decided to share it. 

Lights on Our Tree of Love  has came on quite a few times since March 3rd, 2014 and we are truly blessed and Grateful each time it does. 

Sending lots of Love and Light to everyone.

Our Beautiful 13 Year Old Goldfish (Goldie) and Her New Tank

I finally ordered our Goldie a 10 Gallon Tank YAY

we also bought new rocks for the bottom, a new air bubble blower lol, and some 

pretty plants to go inside. She is loving it.

Her birthday is in December , or at least when we got her , so that is when we celebrate her birthday. She is 5 1/2 inches long and 13 years old.

She is so Beautiful. We love her as a pet. 

She has given us so much joy and relaxation watching her over the years.

Oh yes, and we bought an 8 inch fish net finally so we know she will not

get hurt when we take her out of the tank to clean her water.

Do Not Agree With This ! What anyone wears is NOT their business!

I watched this video and it brought back when I was a kid.....
the good old days with bell bottomed pants, hot pants, mini skirts, and mini dresses etc....
Remember those days?  When the Adults did NOT agree with us wearing
these clothes but we did it anyway.  We were expressing ourselves in our own way. The men had long hair and it drove Adults crazy lol.....
I personally do not prefer this type of style of clothing but  I can choose
to wear it or not. lol.... But when politicians, city councils etc.. are stepping in and BANNING  saggy pants and mini skirts, I think they are going too far.
People really take a  chill pill....... this is not something that should be a LAW or an ordinance !!!  Let the kids be kids and express themselves just like we did when we grew up! Hey , I turned out  just fine!  A person is not their clothes, it is what is inside that is important!  
City Council meetings and government should concentrate on some more important issues than what people are wearing for clothes!

It the USA a FREE Country or are we turning into a Communist Country?
Come on Folks ........ Get Real............ Get off your high horse and Let's Make America a Beautiful Place to Live.  There is Enough  Don'ts in this  world
Don't  Choke our youth with all of this ..........
Worry about heroin , cocaine users and sellers.. take care of our homeless etc..

What are your thoughts?

Had Lots of Fun on My Birthday ;) How did we DO?

Chuck and I  had fun being silly on my Birthday ;)  We found a couple Balloons and blew them up. LOL Then I autographed his balloon and drew a picture of Myself on there. He blew one up and drew a picture of himself. I actually think we did a pretty good job. LOL See the Pictures Below.

Watch the videos we made , having a blast.  I am still getting used to the web cam and using Windows Movie Maker to make the video. You have to move the Opposite direction to show up on camera. Oh My, it is hilarious trying to do this! NO, we had not been drinking or any other funny stuff. We just were having fun and being silly.  
When we were doing the video, I had an idea that we could get pictures of us from off the video, so we were posing. LOL. chuck also sang me a Happy Birthday Song. :) :)  As You can tell, I am still looking UP at the monitor instead of the camera. LOL..... I will get this yet. ;)

Home made Ice cream I want to try

This recipe makes 4-6 servings


Ingredients:

1 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk

2 tsp vanilla extract


Add ins:

1/2 cup mini semi- sweet chocolate chips


1) In a large bowl, whisk the heavy cream until it looks like whipped cream (about 4 minutes)

2) Stir in the condensed milk and vanilla extract

3) Fold in the chocolate chips

4) Pour into a freezer friendly container and cover with a lid

5) Place in the back of your freezer for 6 or more hours and you're done! 


Optional: You can top your ice-cream with whatever you want. I chose sliced strawberries, mango, more chocolate chips (I know, I know) and shredded coconut--YUM!


This recipe is very adaptable! Just make sure you keep the heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk the same!


Some other flavour ideas:

1) Change 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp of the vanilla with peppermint extract to create a mint chocolate chip ice-cream!

2) Add 1/4 cup (or more) of Nutella for an extra decadent treat

3) Fold in crushed Oreos after whipping the heavy cream

Saw this Video and thought I would post it on my blog so I will be able to find it again and try it out. Looks soo good ;) Let me know if you try this also.

Southern Fried Pork Chops 

INGREDIENTS

- salt
- pepper
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup of all purpose flour
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil

DIRECTIONS

1. Tenderize pork chops.
2. Season chops with salt and pepper.
3. Season flour with salt and pepper and seasonings of choice.
4. Dredge chops in flour.
5. Drench chops in beaten egg.
6. Dredge chops in flour after egg drench.
7. Place in oil over medium to medium high heat 
8. Fry on both sides for 4 to 5 minutes.
9. Serve and Enjoy. ;-)

- 1/2 cup butter, melted and divided

- 3 teaspoon garlic powder

- 3/4 cup bread crumbs

- 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

- 1 teaspoon oregano

- 1 teaspoon parsley

Having Fun Kidding Around at the Park with Smokey the Bear and his cubs

Having Fun Kidding Around at the Park with Smokey the Bear and his cubs  - new names- Charles an Diane. :) 

Chuck and I have been together 1 year now after knowing each other for over 40 years. (41 years now). He flew into town on June 10, 2015 at 12:22 PM, we have been together ever since. 
It was such a Beautiful Day we thought we would go for a drive and see some scenery. We went to Smokey Bear Park and asked at the museum, what the cubs of Smokey Bear was. No one knew. The cubs had no names. The Figure of Smokey was set  into place October 13, 1954. They say City Council would have to vote on the names. So we decided to name the cubs ourselves.
The video below is Chuck in front of Smokey Bear telling about the new names.
In 1970 someone had  damaged Smokey and had been arrested. They had to repair smokey then. 
Smokey Bear Statue is 26 ft tall, and is supposed to be the largest bear statue in the world. 

It is a really interesting story when you do research on Smokey the Bear and the history.  I remember singing the song when I was a small girl.

Update on using Onions in Your Hair -Use Fresh Only One

In my last Blog Post, I told how we used onions in our hair to make our hair  thicker, healthier and stop loosing hair as much. 
I thought I would write this blog post to update you.
I do NOT recommend blending 2 onions as it is not good storing the onions!
ONLY Do ONE fresh onion at a time, when you do this.

The first time the smell was not bad, as I had blended in about a tablespoon of Shampoo in with the blended onion. 
The 2nd time which was 2 days later, when I opened the sealed plastic container that I had stored the onion/shampoo mixture in, the smell was stronger, the onions had started to turn color a bit.
The 3rd Time, which was about 4 or 5 days after I had made the mixture up: when I opened the lid of the container, it about knocked me over with the smell. LOL...... I  still put it in my hair as usual and let it soak in my hair and roots while I cleaned the rest of my body. My stomach started getting woozy and I did not like the smell in the shower! 
The first time, I still lost hair in the drain. 2nd Time there was not as much hair sitting in the drain, and by the 3rd time there was only 2 strands of hair. 
When I brushed my hair, there was no hair left in the brush like there usually was prior. So, I was very pleased with this. Plus  my hair is soft, feels and looks like it has more body! Love it! 
Chuck is also using this onion technique and has found the same as stated above to be true for him.  Awesome!

So, the only thing I would change is to take only one onion each time, put it in a blender cut it up really good. Mine still had little chunks of onion so Next time I am going to blend it longer.  Once I added the shampoo in with the onion paste (what I call it),  this mixture was easy to apply to head.

Other things I have heard works is to use white vinegar. We will see, I think I would rather smell the onion than the vinegar in my shower.

P.S. The bathroom will have an onion smell once you are done showering, so I turned our  fan that sucks the odors out and sprayed lysol spray.

Using Onions to Add Body to Your Hair

Chuck and I in Google Hangout. We had tried this 2 other times

and something happened where it did not turn out. So by the time

we did this 3rd one, we were getting pretty silly.  It was after 4 AM

We had lots of fun doing this.  

Telling our Experience of shampooing our hair with onions

that we cut up in the blender. 

Today was our first time and our hair already feels and looks great.

Nice and shiny. I wanted to try it because my hair is thin and some hair falls out when I shower and brush my hair. So, I want to add strength and body to my hair. Chuck is trying it to grow hair. We will keep you all posted on our progress.

Funny Dream of Chuck's that I Tape Recorded LOL

I always keep a digital tape recorder by the bed, in case I get a download, dream of something I want to remember or think of something I want to keep. One morning in April 2015, Chuck woke me up by saying: That is so funny. I grabbed the digital tape recorder and asked him all about his dream. The first few minutes, he was still in the dream state and I could not make out much of what he said. Once he started to wake up more,  the dream started to make more sense.  Finally, I got the whole story. Pretty funny. Every single time I hear this recording it makes me laugh with tears coming down my eyes. 
Since this was such a treasured moment. I wanted to save this and upload it into a video and add it to my personal blog.

Lady and Champion Look so Much A Like

I am going to sell my site Old Dog 2 and want to keep my picture of Champion and when he passed away.. So posting it here so I have it.
Love this site.. but now someone will take good care of the members better, since I have had problems with my server......... the mailers have been shut down.

It was 7 years ago on March 30th.  I have a  dog now that looks like his twin sister.

It is amazing how she and he looks so much a like ;)

Maybe it is Champion reincarnated? What do you think?

Maybe he wanted to come back as a Female dog this time ;)

When You Listen to the Video below, which is  the 2nd part to our story of  Finally Getting Together after 40 years. You will hear mentions of songs etc.. which I will add those videos also in this blog post.

This song was a song that reminded Chuck of me and he sent me an email asking me to listen to it, along with Hearts by Yes. 

The song that kept reminding Chuck of Me and our time together in  August 1974 was the song by Kid Rock named:  All Summer Long. Whenever he heard this song on the radio he would remember me. Thank You Kid Rock. Here is the song.  (released in 2008)

Video: After 40 years, we are finally together. How We Met (Part 1)

After meeting Chuck in 1974 ,  we are finally back together after 40 years (2014). There is Hope for all. Don't Give Up, if it is meant to be, it will happen!

 It was a total Miracle in meeting him in August 1974.  As he was not meaning to come to Minnesota , he was fishing in Michigan. Where I lived was way up by the Canadian border at the end of the road. He must have been on auto pilot ( I think  his Spirit Guides/ guardian Angels were driving).  I would not usually be in town, but for some reason, my parents, just happened to let me drive their car that night. (Another wonderful Miracle).  In Early Summer, I had just broke up with a boyfriend of a year and half, so I was free to date again. (Reason for Breakup was a friend of mine messing around with my boyfriend). In 1978 when he called, I just happened to move back into town staying with my friend Kathy (the friend who I was with when Chuck and I first met -another coincidence) and the reason I had moved back to town was because I had just broke up with another boyfriend who was playing around with another friend of mine. Weird coincidences both time that I just happened to be free and not dating someone.  In 1978, Chuck  was free as the woman he was married to was playing around, so they got a divorce. 

I found pictures of us, but since I don't know how to use a scanner, I took a picture of our pictures for the video. 

Chuck and I were taking a road trip, so why not bring the tape recorder with and talk. LOL.  So, I now have made a video (with more to come) with us talking about how we met in 1974.

Miracles Happen Every Day. This sure is one of them!

You know that Angels are Watching over us when you see things like this Huge Crash happen in Wyoming and there are NO DEATHS! 

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, 33 semi-trucks and 12 other vehicles crashed during a blizzard between Cheyenne and Larami.


I will post all the links that I have found on this crash. This is a True Miracle which you will see when you view all these videos.

Next I did a search on Youtube and found this Horrifying Video of the crash as it is happening. Do not watch this, if you are weak at heart. I cannot imagine seeing this unfold in front of your eyes and you cannot do anything to stop it from happening. You will hear the semi trucks crunching together , you view them traveling down the road and see them driving right into the others.
