Having Fun Kidding Around at the Park with Smokey the Bear and his cubs  - new names- Charles an Diane. :) 

Chuck and I have been together 1 year now after knowing each other for over 40 years. (41 years now). He flew into town on June 10, 2015 at 12:22 PM, we have been together ever since. 
It was such a Beautiful Day we thought we would go for a drive and see some scenery. We went to Smokey Bear Park and asked at the museum, what the cubs of Smokey Bear was. No one knew. The cubs had no names. The Figure of Smokey was set  into place October 13, 1954. They say City Council would have to vote on the names. So we decided to name the cubs ourselves.

In 1970 someone had  damaged Smokey and had been arrested. They had to repair smokey then. 
Smokey Bear Statue is 26 ft tall, and is supposed to be the largest bear statue in the world. 

It is a really interesting story when you do research on Smokey the Bear and the history.  I remember singing the song when I was a small girl.
