Getting Out of My Comfort Zone

With video emails, video blogs, skype with video, Google + hangouts, etc.. so many people are out there making videos of themselves and make it look so easy! ;) They look so comfortable in front of the camera. I have been behind the scenes online for so many years now, handling customer support via emails, help desk tickets and a few on the phone,, that is no problem, there is no cameras. LOL
So how do I get over this shyness? One Baby Step at a time. When I am comfortable doing one thing, I push myself to the next level, until that becomes more comfortable. 


When I started joining a few social networking sites, I would share a picture of myself and post a few things, which took me out of my comfort zone each time, just a little bit more.


Then recently, I started doing "How to" Videos with Jing. Which has been a good start. But the video was still not pointing at me. So the next Step, was to do a video with my picture and my voice. So I did a short little video Welcoming New Friends on Facebook (See Video 1 Below), then one that shared a little bit more about myself. (See video 2 below.)

Now, with some encouragement from some Facebook friends, I decided to go out to the Lake one day and brought the video camera with, just in case I was able to get the courage up to video tape my self. It took several takes, 2 or 3 times just shooting the water and surroundings. Then finally I did 2-3 of the camera pointing at me.Wow, I did it. Now the courage to share ;) (Video 3 water video) (Video 4 One of myself)
