Holly Wreaths

Holly Wreaths

1/4 lb. butter (one stick)
1   10oz bag mini marshmallows
5 cups corn flakes
1 tsp.  almond extract
Green food coloring
Red cinnamon candies (optional)
Holiday sprinkles (optional)

I make mine in the microwave. 

In large microwaveable bowl, melt butter for about one minute. 
Add the marshmallows to the butter, stir and microwave for about one minute.
Add almond extract and green food coloring and stir.
Add corn flakes and stir to coat flakes well.
Drop by large Tbsp. onto waxed paper.
Decorate with sprinkles and red cinnamon candies.

Let set before storing in containers.

Chow Mein Hotdish

Chow Mein Hotdish

1 pound hamburger
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup rice
1 TBSP worcestershire  sauce
2 TBSP soy sauce
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cans water
2 cups chopped celery

Brown the hamburger and onion.  Add all the rest of the ingredients.  Bake 2 hours.  Bake some chow mein noodles separately to put on top when serving.

Sauerkraut Hotdish

Sauerkraut Hotdish

1 pound hamburger
1 medium onion
1/4 tsp pepper
1 - 14oz can sauerkraut (rinsed and drained)
8oz pkg egg noodles (any kind)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can water
2 cups grated Swiss cheese

Cook noodles.  Brown hamburger and onion.  Mix all together and put in a 3 quart casserole dish.  Bake in oven or put in microwave for 10-20 minutes.

Butter Creme Drops

Butter Creme Drops
Ingredients
FILLING
1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

3 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla 

4 cups powdered sugar

COATING

1 (12-ounce) package (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 tablespoons shortening



Chocolate shavings, chocolate sprinkles or decorator sprinkles, as desired



 *Substitute almond, orange or rum extract.

How to make
STEP 1

Combine butter and cream cheese in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until smooth. Add vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Beat at low speed, gradually adding powdered sugar, until well mixed. (If mixture is too soft, cover and refrigerate 1 hour or until firm enough to form balls.)

STEP 2

Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of mixture into 1-inch balls. Place onto waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Cover loosely; refrigerate 2 hours or overnight until firm.

STEP 3

Melt chocolate chips and shortening in 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, 3-4 minutes or until smooth. Dip buttercreams into chocolate mixture using fork to turn and remove; let excess chocolate drip off. Place onto waxed paper-lined baking sheet.Garnish with chocolate shavings, chocolate sprinkles and decorator sprinkles as desired. Refrigerate
